    Objective

The objective of every game is to get rid of all your cards on to the discard pile.

The first player to do so wins, and all remaining players are ranked in order from least to most amount of cards left in their hand. In a money match, all losing players pay the winner the number of cards left in their hand multiplied by the stakes per card chosen prior to the start of the game.

    Rules

A player is chosen at random to go first, and all cards are distributed evenly from the deck to all the players.

Play begins with the first player playing between one (1) and four (4) cards (or up to eight cards if playing with two decks) face down on to the center of the table and announcing the number of Aces they have claimed to have played. The face down cards do not have to be Aces; they may be any mixture of cards, and in the event the player does not have any Aces to begin with, it will be a necessity to lie.

After the play, any opponent on the table may challenge the claim. If there is a challenge, the face down cards are turned over. If the player truthfully played what they have claimed to have played, the challenger must pick up all the cards in the center of the table. If the player was caught cheating, the player must pick up all the cards in the center of the table.

Play continues clockwise, with each player placing a number of face down cards on the table and announcing the quantity and rank of the play. If the standard ascending sequence rule is being used, every subsequent player must announce the rank one after the previous player (i.e. after Aces, the next player announces Twos, the next Threes, and so on, wrapping back around to Aces after Kings). Other sequence rule options are described below. After each play, any opponent may challenge the claim. If no challenge is made, play continues.

If a player manages to get rid of all their cards and their final play is truthful, the game is over and that player wins. If the player cannot play truthfully, the player picks up all the cards in the center and play continues as normal.

    Variations

The sequence used during gameplay may be changed prior to the start of the match.

Ascending: The first player announces Aces, the next player announces Twos, the next Threes, and so on until Kings, then back to Aces.

Descending: The first player announces Aces, the next player announces Kings, the next Queens, and so on until back to Aces.

Neighboring: The first player announces Aces. Every subsequent player may announce one rank above or below the prior play. Thus, the next player may announce Twos or Kings.

Neighboring or same: The first player announces Aces. Every subsequent player may announce the same rank, or one rank above or below the prior play. Thus, the next player may announce Twos, Aces or Kings.

Any: Any rank may be announced per play.
